As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you work embedded in the client's organisation. You learn their data, processes, and people, and you take a vague problem down to something concrete. Then you build it yourself, and you are responsible until it is in production and the client can carry it forward on their own. We build with AI-assisted development as standard. Claude Code and similar tools are part of how we work every day. That means working fast without getting sloppy, in short iterations and testing with users early.
Technology & tools
Python and SQL are the foundation of most of the work. Experience with cloud data warehousing (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery), dbt, BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker), orchestration (Dagster, dlt), application development, machine learning, or LLM applications is a plus. We work as a team and support each other where knowledge is complementary. A plus is not a must!
Practical details
You build robustly, so solutions keep working when the data changes and colleagues and the client can take them over. We are looking for someone with a master's degree in a quantitative or technical field, or demonstrably equivalent level. Most of our clients are Dutch companies, so we are looking for someone who can speak Dutch at a professional level.

You work in a small, senior team with direct lines and no consultancy hierarchy. You consult on design decisions, bring in a colleague when an assignment requires depth you have not built yet, and help your colleagues in return.
